چکیده
Aim: Lymphaticovenular anastomosis (LVA) is the mainstay of surgical treatment lymphedema now. Indocyanine green (ICG) lymphography a method for detecting lymphatic pathways and clinical evaluation patients with extremity lymphedema. The essential point LVA to find more functional vessels. Sometimes, in cases dysfunction, ICG injections into distal extremities are insufficient. purpose this study was elucidate effect multi-injection on LVA.

Indocyanine green fluorescent lymphography Lymphaticovenular shunt
Background: Visualisation of the lymphatic system is a challenging task. Recently, an indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescent lymphography system was developed for visualising the lymphatic vessels. ICG emits energy in the near-infrared region between 840 and 850 nm when it is bound to protein in the tissue. Aim: To use ICG fluorescent lymphography to identify locations of the lymphatic vessel for ...
متن کاملMinimally invasive lymphatic supermicrosurgery (MILS): indocyanine green lymphography-guided simultaneous multisite lymphaticovenular anastomoses via millimeter skin incisions.
Among various surgical treatments, lymphaticovenular anastomosis (LVA), which bypasses congested lymph into venous circulation, is the least invasive surgical treatment. However, it usually entails skin incisions of around 3 cm, and operation time of around 4 hours. With multiple supermicrosurgeons under guidance of indocyanine green lymphography, LVAs can be simultaneously performed under loca...
متن کاملPredictive lymphatic mapping: a method for mapping lymphatic channels in patients with advanced unilateral lymphedema using indocyanine green lymphography.
In severe lymphedema, indocyanine green lymphography cannot be used to map lymphatic channels before lymphaticovenular anastomosis (LVA) because linear lymphatics cannot be detected in a severely affected leg. Here, we describe a new method, which we refer to as predictive lymphatic mapping, to predict the location of lymphatics for anastomosis in unilateral lymphedema, thereby improving surgic...
متن کاملIndocyanine Green (ICG) Lymphography Is Superior to Lymphoscintigraphy for Diagnostic Imaging of Early Lymphedema of the Upper Limbs
BACKGROUND Secondary lymphedema causes swelling in limbs due to lymph retention following lymph node dissection in cancer therapy. Initiation of treatment soon after appearance of edema is very important, but there is no method for early diagnosis of lymphedema. In this study, we compared the utility of four diagnostic imaging methods: magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT),...
متن کاملLndication and Evolution of Surgical Treatments in Lymphedema
The anatomy and physiology of the lymphatic system of the extremities is reviewed, with special refe;ence to increasing knowledge from lymphangiography. The surgical treatment of primary lymphoedema of the extremities by transposition of superficial lymphatics into the deep compartment of the limb employing a buried "Shaved" skin flap "Thompson" operaion was ,used in 2 cases with excellent...
